2K Games has secured a seasoned producer from the creators of Apex Legends to direct the development team at 31st Union, which is currently crafting the forthcoming third-person action-packed title known as this innovative game.
Management Transition Comes After Lukewarm Feedback
The new appointee steps into the role of studio head at the development studio following the departure of previous head Michael Condrey, who was reportedly let go due to the game's underwhelming unveiling last autumn.
Recently, the company's top executive a key figure updated employees about this strategic move through an official communication, which highlighted that playtesting had revealed the requirement for a more defined vision.
The president noted that the team is now reimagining Project Ethos with a renewed vision, aiming to better meet community desires.
Trend of Strategic Recruitment
The news mirrors a comparable move taken by the publisher in August, when they hired an industry veteran from Blizzard to assist with the BioShock development group.

It’s been inspiring to see how far you’ve come. You embraced the criticism to consideration and overhauled Project ETHOS with a renewed direction - one that’s positioned to achieve its potential to our fans.
Our confidence in this project increases every day. To further the incredible progress you’ve made, I am thrilled to introduce the new hire as the incoming Studio Head of 31st Union. After several months of conversations, he officially joins us on Monday, October 20.
